  • Sometimes, clarinet music can get pretty difficult. For the more difficult pieces, we've added alternate recordings that are 15% slower. Just enough to take the edge off but still sound musical and be fun to play!
​Don't own an A clarinet? No problem! We have provided transposed accompaniment for the both the Mozart Concerto and Quintet so you can play the original notation on your Bb clarinet!

There are two types of files in this archive: 
  1. MP3 Files - These files provide high quality sound and can be played by your computer, your home stereo system or even through your phone or tablet. 
  2. Midi Files - These files are played with a midi player. A midi player can either be built in or connected to your computer. It can even be a standalone keyboard.

How to Use This Music
Each piece of music has two files. The first file is the complete recording with clarinet and accompaniment. The second file is the accompaniment alone without the clarinet. Each version has identical tempos.

The Clarinet Quartet files are special. Each piece has 5 recordings. One is the complete music with all four clarinets playing. Then there are 4 more recordings, each with one of the instruments removed. 

We recommend that you first listen to the complete recording we have provided. Get a feel for the tempo and how the different parts work with each other. Sometimes the beat is difficult to make out and you need to listen carefully to subtle chord changes. Many of the pieces include taps to get you started or to help you through parts where there is no accompaniment. This is computer generated music rendered with high quality software that makes it sound like the real thing.
